The position
Our customers are mid-sized companies that want to move to the cloud, pay too much there or need someone to run their environment reliably. As a cloud engineer, you are the person who turns plans into a working environment.
You work closely with consulting and operations and accompany projects from the first conversation to handover. Because our teams are small, you see the result of your work immediately.
Your tasks
- Assessing existing server and application landscapes
- Planning and running migrations in stages, with test runs and a way back
- Building cloud environments as code, with clean permissions, networks and backups
- Analysing cloud costs and implementing savings measures
- Monitoring, updates and incident handling in operations
- Documentation that holds up in audits
What you bring
- Several years of experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Good knowledge of networking, identities and permission concepts
- Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform or Bicep)
- Fluent German and good English
- Enjoy explaining technology to customers in plain terms
Nice to have
- Azure or AWS certifications
- Experience with VMware and migrations out of on-premises data centres
- Knowledge of cost management (FinOps)
